PROBE CALIBRATION SERVICE

Frigo Tecnica Internazionale performs control and calibration activities of room temperature probes installed in cold rooms and cold storage ante rooms, using certified digital instruments. The service includes checking the accuracy of the reading, correcting any deviations and issuing an internal technical document indicating the type, location and identification codes of the probes.
In parallel, we perform the six-monthly calibration of ammonia leak detection sensors (NH₃), in accordance with EN 60079-29-2. This intervention allows us to maintain high safety standards by effectively monitoring potential gas leaks.
Both activities are essential to ensure the system reliability, operator protection, and regulatory compliance of industrial refrigeration systems.

FAQs
Probe calibration and sensor verification ensure reliable measurements in classified cold rooms and environments, improving storage quality and system inspection compliance. Frigo Tecnica Internazionale uses certified instruments and issues comprehensive technical reports.
In this section you will find frequently asked questions about when to calibrate probes, how calibration is performed, what documents are issued, and how often they are required in food and pharmaceuticals.
We perform temperature probe testing in cold rooms and cold chamber ante rooms using certified digital instruments.
We check deviations from the sample, apply offsets where required by the supervisory system, and restore the correct signal reading.
For food, this is normally annually; in pharmaceutical or classified environments it may be semi-annually or quarterly, according to HACCP/GMP procedures and customer specifications.
Periodicity is defined in the maintenance plan.
We provide a full technical report with: probe type and location, item code, sample/probe values, deviation detected, applied corrections/offsets, signed by a service engineer. The documentation is suitable for internal and external audits.
In most cases no: we operate with procedures that do not interrupt operations, agreeing on possible operating windows for sensitive areas. Timing depends on the number of probes and accessibility.
