Refrigerated Logistics 002
Site: Calenzano (FI)
Activity: logistics platform for frozen foodstuffs with automated warehouse (10,700 m2)
We develop refrigeration systems for logistics platforms, distribution centers, and e-commerce hubs, ensuring that the cold chain is maintained under all operating conditions. Solutions cover both positive and negative refrigeration, with systems designed to ensure energy efficiency, continuous availability, and optimized load management.
Each system is sized according to flow rates, stored volumes, and operating flows, integrating natural refrigerant technologies (NH₃, CO₂, R290) and energy recovery systems for defrosting and heating dry areas.
Frigo Tecnica Internazionale also provides auxiliary components and infrastructure, including insulation panels, cold rooms, air ducts, and engine rooms with fire and soundproofing requirements. The goal is to offer a complete, reliable and sustainable system for thermal management of warehouses, transit points and refrigerated picking areas.
Frigo Tecnica Internazionale manages the entire cycle of industrial refrigeration equipment implementation, from design to commissioning.
Each project is the result of a detailed analysis that considers thermal loads, operating conditions, and current regulations (F-Gas, ATEX), with the goal of developing efficient and reliable solutions.
Engineering includes refrigeration system sizing, component selection, and control logic. In-house manufacturing ensures construction quality and traceability. Onsite installation includes assembly, wiring, and integration with any existing systems.
Testing, performance checks and issue of technical documentation are performed during commissioning of the refrigeration system.
Structured after-sales services complete the offering: maintenance, service, retrofit and revamping to ensure operational continuity and compliance with environmental regulations.
Preliminary technical analysis, definition of needs, assessment of regulatory and operational constraints, with the goal of developing a tailored, highly efficient solution.
Refrigeration system sizing, component selection, and control logic design. Everything is geared toward ensuring reliability, performance, and ease of operation.
In-house production of components in controlled environments to ensure build quality, traceability, and certain lead times.
On-site system installation, including mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, thermal insulation piping works and integration with any existing systems.
Performing functional testing, performance verification, testing and issuing technical documentation upon completion of the system.
Routine and extraordinary maintenance, technical support, retrofitting and revamping to ensure operational continuity and compliance with environmental regulations.

Thanks to an integrated design approach, Frigo Tecnica Internazionale ensures high-performance thermotechnical solutions for cold logistics. Our systems are designed to ensure temperature uniformity even under varying load conditions, optimizing consumption and improving business continuity.
The company takes care of every detail: from air distribution in picking aisles to thermal separation of zones and automation of climate control. The solutions easily adapt to new layouts or future expansions, with a focus on scalability and compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations applicable to the distribution chain.
Maintaining constant temperatures during all phases of operation is critical. Facilities must include positive and negative temperature cells, backup systems, continuous monitoring, and energy redundancy to avoid interruptions even in the event of failures.
Design must take into account different storage needs (fresh, frozen, dry), optimizing space, logistics flows, and control systems for differentiated temperature sectors. The use of natural refrigerant chillers and integrated energy recovery is strategic.
High-efficiency systems can reduce consumption by up to 25-30% compared to conventional solutions, thanks to inverters, automatic adjustments, heat recovery, and the use of natural refrigerants (NH₃, CO₂, R290).
Frigo Tecnica Internazionale integrates digital systems for automatic thermal data recording, real-time alarms and reports in accordance with HACCP and ISO standards for full traceability of refrigerated products.
